Stephen started life as a marine biologist and somehow ended up as the manager of various Information Technology departments. He is currently concentrating on being an author and artist. He has more than sixteen books, in a variety of genres, available internationally, and has several more under way. Experimentation and exploration are the spices of life. He and his wife live on the West Coast of Canada. Stephen currently splits his time between working on new books, publishing, and painting.
In 2024 / 2025, he had all his books translated into multiple languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. The Magdalene Scrolls (2011) was the first book Stephen and Jeanne-Marie worked on together. Since then they've produced The Exodus Scrolls (2013), The Magdalene Legacy (2018) and the latest book The Book of Enlil (2022). A full length novel about Enlil of the Sumerians was released in 2024 and is titled The Gospel of Enlil: Creation and Exodus.
While waiting for Jeanne's next set of notebooks, Stephen has written a hard science fiction series about Jodi Walsh, a young Canadian physicist who becomes the symbiotic host of an alien AIC - an Artificial Intelligence Component. Once they reach a reasonable agreement on co-habitation in her body, all sorts of strange things begin happening, leading in the end to an interstellar war with the hive-like and deadly Queens. Their adventures are detailed in The Plague of Meteors (2018), The War of Meteors (2020) and Genesis of Meteors (2021). With the threat of the Queens dealt with, Jodi and Catherine go exploring. The resulting adventures are detail in Fallen Meteor (2021), Unresolved Vortex (2022) and A Whisp of Memory (2023). Further adventures will be coming.
He has also published two books on Soapstone Carving, Shaping Stone Vol 1 - an Introduction to the Art of Soapstone Carving, and Shaping Stone Vol 2 - Advanced Techniques in Soapstone Carving, along with another how-to book, Breaking Glass: An Introduction to Stained Glass Art and Design.
Given his long career in writing and publishing, he has also released a series of how-to guides on the various processes involved in self publishing and selling internationally: Self-Publishing at Zero Cost Series, accessible from the English edition home page.
